Class:
This week I think the first one hour was fresh and interesting. Professor Mangini didn't say a word and tried to use all the gestures to deliver his messages to us. It was the first time for me that a teacher talks to students through gesture language instead of oral language. Although I didn't comprehend quite much, it was good to approach to some new challenge because I started thinking about the questions actively and, therefore, can memorize the new knowledge and develop my intelligence. My favorite part is the free write. Sometimes, to be honest, I don't have any idea related to the subject. However, it at least encourages me to write something down, which is better than keeping the paper blank.
When we were discussing and drawing pictures about the two mindsets, I was confused. I didn't see any connection between drawing pictures and writing. I don't know how drawing a picture can help me write better.
The thing that intrigued me was the compilation of those videos. The editor subtly avoided argument which should be presented when talking about any theory objectively. In the first impression, it looks like growth mindset must be better than the fixed mindset in all ways. But everything has two sides. If a person accesses to all kinds of knowledge without a rigorous self-discipline and a clear aim, the person may get lost in the ocean of knowledge and lose the ability of judging right or wrong. So I think this is the downside of the growth mindset, which was not presented in the videos.

This week I went through some embarrassing moment. Saturday was Linda's birthday. She is my church sister. During the weekday, Joe, brother in the church, told me that her birthday was coming. and I said I know. But on the Saturday when we got together, I realized I completely forgot it and didn't prepare any gift for her. I was the only one who didn't prepare. What an embarrassment. I am thinking of making up a gift for her and asking for forgiveness.
