Class:
I was the last one who presents the assignment of Adaptive Mindset. I read mine fluently and loudly. Thankfully, I heard a lot of comments which were jot down by Courtney, I heard my topic is very inspiring, driven, and motivating. Also, the details, like podcast, are very specific and strong. The first thing that needs to be revised is to introduce growth mindset earlier instead of in the end. The second thing is to put a few sentences about being at DCCC, like who, what, when, and why. The last thing is about transitions. I need make the transition more smooth between the last two paragraphs.
After the discussion about assignment, professor Mangini talked a little bit about the Midterm-portfolio. He asked us to be creative in composing the elevator pitch. We are also assigned to write down one reflection and one debate. About the debate, as a foreigner, honestly I don't understand most of the issues. But I will still write down my opinions. Hopefully, I will not offend anybody. Also, I don't want to be politically corrected.
Home:
On Saturday, my church went to the West Goshen Park for outreaching. We prepared chilies, chips, cupcakes, and bread. It was our church member Sharon's birthday. So Linda make banana upside-down cakes which is Sharon's favorite. I prepared a scarf as a present and seemingly she likes it.
Fortunately, there were a lot of people in the park. We, two people as a group, approached to the strangers and invited them to join our bible study. Unfortunately, there was pumpkin festival. Children under 12 year old could get pumpkin for free. Obviously, people had more interest in the free pumpkin than our chilies. As a result, no new faces showed up. We finished the meal in the pavilion as well as the bible study. After around 2 hours, due to the irresistible cold weather, we bid farewell to each other and rushed into each car.
